We are getting reports of senior agents being passed up for details at the station levels. This is called favoritism. It has been understood in this sector and throughout the Border Patrol that everyone will have a fair and equitable opportunity to develop their career. This is done by selecting the senior agent eligible (detail management policy will call for breaks in between training and details) for training and details. The PAICs in BLW want to deviate from this and pick winners and losers. This is how you divide a workforce and they know this. If you are senior to an agent recently picked for a detail or training, please get with a steward and FILE A GRIEVANCE TODAY!
We negotiated a Detail Management SOP, the PAICs are holding it up for this reason. DO NOT GO ALONG WITH THEM!
